At about 2:35 a.m. on May 29, a charter bus operated by E&P Travel, en route from New York City to Charlotte, collided with a Chevrolet Suburban and other vehicles on I-95 southbound near mile marker 146, two miles south of the Quantico exit. Five people were killed, including a 13-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, and dozens were injured. Mary Washington Healthcare reported 19 patients across two hospitals, with 14 discharged by morning. The bus driver, Jing S. Dong, 48, of Staten Island, was injured and charges are pending.
