Eli Lilly and Neuroaxis partner up to improve early Alzheimer's diagnosis in Romania

Eli Lilly and Company and Neuroaxis, Romania’s first integrated neurology and neuroimaging clinic (now part of the Regina Maria Network), have launched a partnership aimed at speeding up Alzheimer’s diagnosis and improving access to appropriate treatment. Announced around World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21, the initiative seeks to shorten the path from initial neurological assessment to diagnostic confirmation and personalized care, while expanding access to specialists and modern diagnostic tools. The article notes that Alzheimer’s remains significantly underdiagnosed in Europe: the time from first symptoms to formal diagnosis can reach 3.5 years, and more than half of dementia cases are never detected. It adds that only about 30% of diagnoses occur at mild cognitive impairment stage. Neuroaxis serves over 25,000 patients annually, including those with memory and other cognitive decline signs.
