ERNEST WARD, 92

Ernest M. Ward, 92, was welcomed into Jesus’ arms on September 12, 2026. Born April 30, 1934, to Alvie and Anna Ward, he graduated from Rochester High School in 1953 and joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean campaign. After radar maintenance training at Kessler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, he was assigned to the 29 Air Defense Command in Great Falls, Montana, and later transferred to the 786 AC&W Squadron in Minot, North Dakota, before being discharged in February 1958 as a Staff Sergeant. He worked for Pittsburgh Tube Company and later held multiple engineering roles at Syntron/Link Belt, retiring in 1998. Ward married Eileen Atwood on March 2, 1958, and they celebrated 60 years together. Services were set for September 17, 2026, with a graveside service on Friday at 11 AM at Grove Chapel Cemetery.
