xCruzo Brief
Nicole Linton, 41, was convicted Friday of six counts of second-degree murder, including the death of an unborn child, tied to a 2022 crash in Los Angeles, prosecutors said. A jury found she “deliberately put her foot on the gas” and accelerated through an intersection where the traffic light had been red for 15 seconds. Her Mercedes-Benz entered a visible traffic area at about 130 mph, striking multiple vehicles; three cars caught fire. In one vehicle, Asherey Ryan, 23, and her partner, Reynold Lester, 24, along with their 11-month-old son, Alonzo Quintero, all died, including Ryan’s unborn child. Two other victims also died. Linton’s nursing license was suspended Aug. 15, 2022. She is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 1.
