Healthcare recycling services hub launches in Baltimore

Caracal Products & Services has launched a new 9,000-square-foot facility in Lansdowne, Baltimore County, to serve as a hub for its Baltimore-area healthcare recycling operations. The warehouse, located in an industrial complex at 2 to 6 Alco Place, will handle personal protective equipment and medical recycling for local healthcare centers. Caracal says it will use industrial baler machines to compress recyclable material onsite before shipping bales to recyclers, where polypropylene is shredded, melted, and reshaped into plastic pellets. The site will also support a recycling program with the Johns Hopkins Health System and will have about 100 pallet positions and an office.
