JOE DOLAN, 89

Joe Dolan, 89, of Clymer, was promoted to heaven on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Indiana Regional Medical Center with family at his side. Born July 2, 1937, in Rossiter, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Joseph John Dolan and Betty Rose “Pet” Wilson and was raised by his aunt, Annie G. Abbott. He graduated from Clymer High School in 1955, briefly worked at Capizzi Coal Co., then enlisted in the Air Force in 1956. After training at Syracuse University for Cold War Russian intelligence, he served in Darmstadt, Germany with the 6911 Radio Group Mobile, intercepting Soviet Air Force communications. He discharged in 1960 as Airman 1 Class, later worked for PennDOT and retired in 1993.
