Koala Question Proves to Be the Doctor's Undoing on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"
A koala question on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” became a costly moment for a contestant when incorrect guidance led her to miss the correct habitat. The right answer was Jimmy the Koala, since koalas live in Australia and the 2026 World Cup will be held in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. After an opening with contestants aged 18 and older, Tuesday’s seat holders are in the 30 to 65 age range. To reach the grand-prize chance in Thursday’s “3-Million-Euro Week” finale, they must win at least 16,000 euros. Contestant Franziska Burkhardt chose the 2,000-euro soccer mascot question, got two matches right with her phone-a-friend, but wrongly linked the koala to South America. She selected the Zayu the jaguar option, and the show confirmed the koala’s home is Australia.
