Motorcyclist hospitalized with serious injuries after Route 111 crash in Exeter

Exeter police report that a motorcycle crash on Route 111 left a 38-year-old Dracut man with serious injuries. The incident occurred around 5:55 p.m. near 149 Kingston Road, and the rider was airlifted from Brickyard Pond to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center after treatment at the scene. He was riding a 2018 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special when he left the roadway and struck a large rock; investigators say speed and alcohol may have contributed, and there was no indication the rider wore a helmet. Two accompanying riders, ages 45 and 42, were charged with driving under the influence and released on personal recognizance. The crash remains under investigation as Exeter police, with Kingston and Kingston Fire Departments, review evidence and statements; witnesses are asked to contact Officer Connor Kennedy.
