Nuffield Department of Medicine at the University of Oxford and 2U Launch New Program in AI-Driven Drug Discovery

2U and the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM) at the University of Oxford have launched the Oxford AI in Drug Discovery and Medicine Programme, a six-week, fully online executive education course aimed at scientists and R&D professionals. Announced Sept. 3, 2026, the program teaches how to apply artificial intelligence across the drug discovery pipeline while accounting for ethical and regulatory standards in biomedical research. It begins a broader Oxford partnership that now covers more than 40 online executive programs and open courses delivered on edX, involving Oxford schools including Saïd Business School, the Faculty of Law, the Blavatnik School of Government, and NDM. A second NDM offering, the Oxford Nuffield Healthcare Management Programme, is expected later this year.
