Parking charges at major hospitals set to rise sharply next month
xCruzo Brief
Parking charges at major hospitals in Shropshire are set to increase starting Monday 2 November 2026. The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust said the changes will apply at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH), Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) and William Farr House, citing a wider review of parking arrangements and a “challenging financial environment.” Short stays remain partly protected: parking is free for up to 20 minutes. Beyond that, costs rise from £4 to £4.50 for up to two hours, from £5.50 to £6 for up to three hours, and from £6.50 to £7.15 for up to four hours; up to five hours becomes £8.25, and 24 hours costs £10.45. The frequent-visit concession increases from £8.50 to £15 from 1 December 2026.
