Sizzling sausages with 50 per cent more protein land with a bang in Lidl
xCruzo Brief
Lidl has launched a “High Protein Meat” range designed to help shoppers boost protein without paying premium prices. The range combines British meat with pea protein and starts at £1.99. Lidl says the new products deliver at least 20% more protein than traditional meat options, aiming to tackle a key barrier for high-protein dieters: 51% of consumers say price is the main issue. The rollout includes High Protein Cumberland Sausages at £1.99, offering 50% more protein than traditional sausages, plus beef mince from £4.79 and other items such as meatballs and quarter pounders. Available now in stores nationwide, it supports Lidl’s goal to have plant-based options reach 25% of its total protein offering by 2030.
