Thomas Albert "Tom" Bumgardner, Leavittsburg, Ohio

Thomas Albert “Tom” Bumgardner, 63, died Friday, July 31, 2026, at UH Geauga Medical Center after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Born April 15, 1963, to John and Nancy (Israel) Bumgardner, he was raised on Stiles Street in Warren and graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School before making his home in Leavittsburg. Tom married Pam on July 8, 1989, and the couple dated since 1977. He worked as an industrial welder for Hilti and later as a custodian with LaBrae Local Schools, while also serving for decades as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, reaching Lieutenant with the Warren Township Fire Department. He held numerous certifications including EMT, Hazmat Operations Technician, and Firefighter II, and earned commendations for high-risk incidents.
