Barrie and Scott Drewitt-Barlow charged with more sexual offences

Barrie and Scott Drewitt-Barlow charged with more sexual offences in a widening investigation involving a non-league football club in England. Essex Police announced 18 additional charges, including multiple counts of rape, against Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, 57, and his husband Scott Drewitt-Barlow, 32. Authorities allege they targeted and groomed young males across the country between 2013 and 2026. The couple, who bought Maldon & Tiptree FC in 2025, are in custody and due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday afternoon. Barrie faces two counts of paying for sexual services of a child and further charges including sexual activity with a child and rape; Scott faces charges including causing or inciting sexual activity and two counts of rape. Police raids began in May, including at a club and at their home in Danbury. They previously appeared on reality TV and oversaw promotion to tier seven.
