Bears rally in second half, but fall to Milton in ultimate playoffs

Brattleboro Bears, ranked No. 8, were unable to overcome a slow start, losing 15-9 to Milton, No. 9, in the play-down round at Natowich Field on Wednesday. The Bears finished 7-5, led by CJ Tustin with two goals and an assist, and Raymond Saeki-Schrull with two goals. Varek Tuma and Desi Grace each recorded two assists and three forced turnovers, while Elijah Cummings added a goal and two assists. Riley Bristol contributed a goal and a team-high four forced turnovers. Milton built a 4-0 lead early and extended to 8-0 at halftime, but Brattleboro staged a comeback in the second half with timely blocks and goals, though the rally fell short.
