Carlow Disability Sports Club seeks new members - Sport - Carlow Nationalist

Junior South East Swifts, an IWA-Sport affiliated disability sports club, has launched a recruitment campaign seeking new members aged 5 and older ahead of the new season. The Wheelchair Basketball club is inviting parents of young people with physical disabilities to join wheelchair and para sports during the winter. The club is open to participants from across Kilkenny, Carlow, Waterford, and Wexford and meets weekly with a mix of teams, activities, and social events each season. Practices are scheduled Mondays from 6–7pm at Presentation College, Askea, Carlow. IWA-Sport says sport supports self-esteem, emotional functioning, mobility, and helps families access local services.
