Colossally Clownish Penalty Kick Goes Viral
xCruzo Brief
Trayvone Reid of Jamaica’s Mount Pleasant took a penalty kick at “glacial speed” during a CONCACAF Caribbean Cup semifinal on Wednesday in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, drawing instant attention from broadcasters. Creeping forward in tiny steps, Reid finally struck the ball, but it was blocked by Teshorne Ragoo of Trinidad and Tobago’s Club Sando. USA Today reported the miss proved critical: Club Sando remained just one goal behind and later drew the match in the first leg of the two-game series. The Jamaica Observer called the attempt “poor.” The teams meet again Oct. 22 in Kingston.
