Cruise ship passenger says warning signs were there long before Cambodia

Kit Cassingham says her family won’t recover the money they paid for a cruise after Villa Vie suspended operations and ordered more than 200 passengers off the Villa Vie Odyssey in Cambodia. Speaking to NewsNation’s Jesse Weber on Wednesday, she said the couple paid about $370,000 to $380,000 for their cabin and about $7,000 per month in expenses. “No, no, no,” she said when asked if they’ll get it back. She described a warning as a short message telling them they had until 2 p.m. to leave after the ship couldn’t get more fuel. Villa Vie blamed fuel costs tied to the war in Iran and said it would cover hotels and local transportation.
