David Beckham 'under investigation' amid multimillion pound row
David Beckham’s Inter Miami is reportedly under investigation by Major League Soccer amid a dispute tied to the signing of midfielder Casemiro. The probe follows allegations of “tampering” and a disagreement over MLS discovery rights. Casemiro, 34, joined Inter Miami this week as a free agent after leaving Manchester United, so no transfer fee was required, but his deal still carries multi-million-pound implications through wages and an additional payment to an MLS club. Reports say LA Galaxy held discovery priority and Inter Miami reached a settlement worth about £750,000 to acquire those rights. MLS said it is reviewing the tampering allegation and will not comment further until complete, though it noted a settlement over discovery terms. Inter Miami previously faced MLS discipline in 2021, including a record $2m fine and $2.3m in allocation money removed.
