Dead, 2 injured in West Baltimore triple shooting

A West Baltimore triple shooting left one man dead and two others injured on Wednesday night after police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1800 block of North Payson Street. Officers found a 20-year-old woman and two 22-year-old men with gunshot wounds; they were transported to area hospitals, where the man died. The woman remained in stable condition, and the other man was in critical condition by Thursday morning. The incident comes as Baltimore reports higher non-fatal shootings this year (138) than at the same point last year (130), with 44 homicides to date, compared with 56 last year.
