Don't Make A Spontaneous Trip To 7 DNR Offices In Northern Wisconsin

Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources is warning residents not to make spontaneous trips to seven northern offices that remain designated as field offices. The DNR says field offices are not open for walk-in counter service, even though staff and services are available by appointment. The agency is emphasizing that people should preplan if they want in-person help, particularly during summer when outdoor activities increase. The seven locations listed as appointment-only field offices are Antigo, Ashland, Cumberland, Hayward, Ladysmith, Park Falls, and Superior, including one in the Twin Ports. The change is described as continuing from pandemic-era adjustments and applies alongside 18 appointment-only field offices statewide.
