Donations pour in to support family of much-loved Cork retail worker

More than €10,000 has been raised to support Karolina Komosińska’s family in Cork, following her passing in April. The Polish mother-of-one worked at TK Maxx in Cork, where colleagues remember her as a friendly presence who loved designer brands and chats with shoppers. A GoFundMe page launched in April surpassed its initial €10,000 goal, with donations of up to €300 contributing to the total. Fundraiser organizer Niamh Garvin described Karolina as a radiant person whose warmth touched many. Tributes have also poured in from colleagues at Scoozi restaurant and the De Calf Cafe in Cork city centre, and the page remains open for further donations to assist her daughter, sister, fiancé, and family.
