Faivre set to head back to Auxerre as club agree deal with Cherries
Romain Faivre is set to head back to Auxerre on a season-long loan, the Daily Echo understands. The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season in Ligue 1 with Auxerre after a disappointing loan in Saudi Arabia with Al-Taawoun, where he made five appearances before falling out of favour. Bournemouth recalled him before he went back out on loan in January to Auxerre. There, he enjoyed more consistent game time, making ten appearances in the French top flight with seven starts, providing two assists as Auxerre finished 15th. The 2023 move from Lyon to Bournemouth amounted to £12.8million, and Faivre has also had loan spells at Lorient, Stade Brestois, Al-Taawoun and Auxerre. All six Bournemouth appearances since 2023 came in 2024, with every appearance coming off the bench.
