Former Cal DB commit Myles Baker flips to UCLA: 'End of the day I had to follow my heart.'

Myles Baker, a defensive back who originally committed to the University of California in March, has flipped his pledge to UCLA. The Chatsworth, Calif., Sierra Canyon safety visited UCLA on June 12 and then made a mid-week trip to Cal from June 16–18. He was expected to visit LSU for the weekend of June 19, but canceled that trip, after which he was widely assumed to be committed to the Bears. Baker instead returned to UCLA on Friday (June 19) and again on Sunday (June 21), before finalizing his change. He cited feeling torn and said the UCLA visit exceeded expectations and felt like home, adding that he believes in coach Bob Chesney’s plan and how he can succeed on and off the field. He is described as a safety prospect rated No. 286 nationally by Rivals, No. 210 in the Rivals 300, and No. 19 in California.
