Great Britain & Ireland rally to win Walker Cup | Arkansas Democrat Gazette
xCruzo Brief
Connor Graham and Josh Hill both won the 18th hole in the final two matches Sunday at Lahinch as Great Britain and Ireland completed a remarkable comeback to win the Walker Cup for the first time since 2015. Graham birdied the last two holes for a halve against 17-year-old Miles Russell. Hill, a Tennessee senior, sealed a 13 1/2-12 1/2 victory over 18-year-old Tyler Watts with a bunker shot to 3 feet and a birdie make. After the U.S. swept morning foursomes to lead by three, GB&I took the first four singles. Stuart Grehan beat Preston Stout, Jack Whaley beat William Jennings 8-and-7, and Tyler Weaver won in 15 holes. The U.S. still leads the series 40-10-1.
