Connor Graham and Josh Hill secured wins on the 18th hole in the final two matches Sunday at Lahinch as Great Britain and Ireland rallied past the Americans to capture the Walker Cup for the first time since 2015. Graham birdied the last two holes to earn a halve against 17-year-old Miles Russell. Hill finished off his all-square match with 18-year-old Tyler Watts, hitting a long bunker shot to 3 feet and converting for a 13 1/2-12 1/2 victory. The U.S., featuring seven of the top 10 players in the world amateur ranking, had swept morning foursomes in fierce wind to take a three-point lead entering 10 singles. GB&I turned the tables by winning the first four singles, including wins by Stuart Grehan, Jack Whaley and Tyler Weaver. Hill and his final-hole heroics provided the key three points; the U.S. still leads 40-10-1 overall.
