Gun club settles lawsuit with developer neighbor for $800K and end of outdoor shooting

A gun club on San Antonio’s Northwest Side has reached a settlement that ends its outdoor shooting operations permanently, following a dispute with a neighboring developer. SA Given to Fly, a limited partnership tied to Mosaic Land Development, owns roughly 40 acres next to the San Antonio Target, Hunting, and Fishing Club. Filed in late 2024, the lawsuit alleged the club “operates more like a drinking fraternity” and that projectiles “regularly trespass” onto the developer’s land. The terms include an $800,000 payment from the club and a permanent deed restriction banning outdoor gunfire at 6722 West Hausman Road. Archery is allowed only if it meets a nationally recognized safety standard and is directed away from SA Given to Fly’s property, while firearm use would require an indoor range. The developer said site work could begin late this year.
