James Tibbs III hits 30th home run, Mike Sirota makes Triple-A debut

James Tibbs III hit his 30th home run of the season as the Oklahoma City Comets lost 14-8 in a road game to the El Paso Chihuahuas (Padres) on Saturday. The Chihuahuas sent seven runs across the sixth inning after Oklahoma City had jumped ahead with five runs in the third. Tibbs, designated to bat, delivered with a three-run homer in that frame. He’s also been the first player in the Pacific Coast League to reach at least 100 runs, 100 RBI, and 100 walks since Greg Brock (1982). Ryan Fitzgerald added three hits and 101 RBI, while shortstop Noah Miller homered early. Mike Sirota made his Triple-A debut for Oklahoma City, batting third in right field after promotion from Double-A, going 2-for-? and scoring his 100th run, with a .463 OBP in 497 plate appearances.
