Judi Dench Makes Rare Confession About Late Husband 25 Years After His Death

Judi Dench is reflecting on her long marriage to actor Michael Williams as she promotes her new memoir, “Is It Too Late to Make a Run For It?” Dench married Williams in 1971 and stayed together for 30 years until his death from lung cancer in 2001 at age 65. In an interview with People, the 91-year-old said she “still misses him” and imagines he will walk in “even now, 25 years on.” In the book, she discusses her career, including sold-out Broadway and West End performances and major awards such as an Oscar, Tony, Golden Globes, Oliviers and BAFTAs. Dench also revisits earlier remarks that she once hoped to have six children, but only had one, Finty.
