Leeds nightclub could become spa and wellness centre under new plans
xCruzo Brief
A historic building and nightclub in Leeds could be converted into a spa and wellness centre if plans are approved by Leeds City Council. The proposal covers 9 East Parade in the city centre. The ground floor of the Grade II-listed building would be repurposed, according to a design report prepared by E3 Architecture, replacing the current nightclub use with a spa and wellness facility. The report says the site is near public transport links and other licensed premises, and is in a highly accessible, sustainable area with good pedestrian connections and convenient access to bus services and Leeds railway station. It also notes the removal of the dance floor to reduce late-night noise. The consultation runs until November 25.
