Livingston conservationist launches program to educate Yellowstone River users

Launching a targeted education effort along the upper Yellowstone River, Livingston conservationist Wendy Weaver is leading a program to teach river users proper etiquette and stewardship. Weaver, executive director of Montana Freshwater Partners, unveiled the Yellowstone River Ambassadors program on Wednesday, June 24. The initiative aims to engage river users from Gardiner downstream toward Paradise Valley at key access sites. Teams will be out with a table of materials to share information on river etiquette, fish handling, and fishing etiquette. The program emphasizes practical guidance and community involvement in river management.
