MAGA Rep Took Wife on Lavish Trip During Gov Shutdown

Republican Rep. Zach Nunn of Iowa took a lavish, all-expenses-paid trip to Europe while the U.S. government shutdown left many workers without pay, according to the Daily Beast. Nunn, 47, and his wife traveled March 29 to April 4, visiting Dublin and sites connected to the British Royals, plus business meetings in the U.K. and Ireland. The records cited list $15,400 in gift travel for Nunn alone, with travel costs covered by the partner and about $330 per person for meals and incidentals. The trip arrived during a 76-day shutdown that was the longest in U.S. history and after multiple foreign excursions by Nunn.
