Man City FFP: Man Utd, Arsenal eye compensation as Ornstein reveals clubs response to guilty verdict

Reports say four “Big Six” clubs are looking to seek compensation from Manchester City after an independent commission found City guilty of breaching Premier League Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. BBC-style shockwaves followed a David Ornstein reveal that City were guilty “on almost all” of 114 of the 115 charges. With the verdict not finalized for appeal, City could face severe sanctions, ranging from a huge fine and transfer ban to points deduction, expulsion, or stripping of Premier League titles. Ornstein also said rivals are preparing legal action, with legal firms contacting clubs about potential claims if City’s appeal fails. The Independent reports Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur could combine for more than £200m.
