Miles Russell's confidence surging for his latest PGA Tour start
Miles Russell is set for his seventh PGA Tour start this week at the ISCO Championship, running July 9-12 at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky. The 17-year-old from Jacksonville Beach has made four cuts in his last five professional starts, including making the cut at the U.S. Open (tied for 39th) and the Puerto Rico Open, while posting his best result on the Korn Ferry Tour by tying for 15th in the Club Car Championship. Russell, who turned pro last week at the John Deere Classic and missed the cut there, spoke July 8 after the pro-am about learning from fellow players Jackson Koivun and Ben James. He also highlighted confidence gained from breaking through his first PGA Tour weekend. His amateur schedule includes the U.S. Junior Boys July 20-25 at Saucon Valley and the U.S. Amateur Aug. 10-16 at Merion.
