Noskova survives Muchova rally in Wimbledon women's final to lift trophy | Fulton Sun
Linda Noskova’s Wimbledon women’s final win delivered a defining moment for Czech tennis as she survived Karolina Muchova’s late push to claim her first Grand Slam title. Playing on Saturday at the All England Club in London, Noskova won 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 after wasting five match points. The victory made her the third Czech woman to lift the Wimbledon trophy in four years, following Marketa Vondrousova in 2023 and Barbora Krejcikova in 2024. It also marked a first-time champion for the ninth straight Wimbledon edition. Noskova, seeded ninth, broke early by converting pressure on Muchova’s wayward play, then held steady after a momentum shift in the third set and the tense closing stages. The win continued a historic legacy at Wimbledon that includes Petra Kvitova and the late Jana Novotna.
