Oliver Glasner: 'There was no plan for me to be Nottingham Forest manager'

Oliver Glasner said there was “no plan” for him to become Nottingham Forest manager as he prepares to return to Crystal Palace on Sunday with Forest for the first time since leaving the club in the summer. The match also carries lingering tension: Palace and Forest battled last season over Palace taking Forest’s Europa League spot, and Forest’s owner Evangelos Marinakis is suing Palace for defamation tied to a supporters’ banner. Glasner acknowledged the possibility of boos and stressed he doesn’t want to be pulled into the “comments and stories” surrounding the game. He previously led Palace to major milestones, including the FA Cup Wembley win and the Conference League in Leipzig in May, plus the Community Shield.
