Our future': Central Coast club officially moves into Newcastle territory
Central Coast Heart has officially moved its netball identity into the Hunter region, rebranding as Hunter Central Coast Heart after Hunter Netball’s bid for a standalone NSW Premier League team was rejected in 2024. Club chair Jodi Cassar called the change a positive step, while high-performance manager Di Brown said it better reflects that about 75% of the club’s recruitment comes from Hunter, including athletes and coaches. The rebrand’s catchphrase is “Beating as one.” Hunter Netball includes 13 associations and currently competes across NSW Metro League divisions and development series, where it was minor premiers and won a grand final this year. The partnership aims to create clearer Metro-to-Premier League pathways, with training bases at Niagara Park Stadium and Cent.
