Hartford beat Reading 6-5, with Jean Cabrera giving up five runs in six innings, leaving his 2026 ERA at 9.47 through 14 starts. Reading pushed for a ninth-inning comeback but fell short. In Greenville, Bowker debuted with four innings of two-hit, six-strikeout work; Carter Mathieson homered and Devin Futrell added seven scoreless innings.
