Points of Focus from Mississippi State HC Jeff Lebby in Week 9 Presser

Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby used Monday’s Week 9 press conference in Starkville to address a recent loss to Oklahoma and the need to move past injuries and a three-game losing skid. The Bulldogs have little time before a road game in SEC play against Texas, a team described as regaining confidence after beating No. 7 Ole Miss. Lebby highlighted Texas’ offense under Steve Sarkisian, calling it “hard to defend” with big, physical tight ends and elite receiving threats including Arch Manning with Ryan Wingo and Cam Coleman. He emphasized defensive assignment discipline after Oklahoma exposed big plays, especially on third downs.
