Preview: The Avs Face the Floundering Flyers in Philly Tonight

Fresh off a home-and-home against Dallas and a Friday comeback win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Colorado Avalanche begin a short two-game road trip tonight in Philadelphia. Colorado enters the matchup with a 5-2-1 record, while the Flyers are struggling at 1-6-3. The Avs are coming off a five-goal rally to beat Pittsburgh; Mackenzie Blackwood earned wins in Dallas and versus the Penguins, and Artturi Lehkonen (two goals) helped spark the turnaround. Martin Nečas added a pair in Dallas. The game also features changes on the bench: Brett McLean debuted as assistant head coach and is tasked with improving a power play that’s been ineffective, while Jared Bednar noted inconsistency over full 60-minute efforts.
