Rangers boss Derek McInnes earns major thank you for helping old club in hour of need

Rangers boss Derek McInnes has received an emotional thank-you from former club Greenock Morton after helping raise about £3,000 for their struggling “Fighting Fund”. The Scottish Championship side have been hit by financial hardship and are trying to secure a long-term future. McInnes, who was inducted into the “Ton Hall of Fame” in 2024 and played more than 200 times for Morton, joined a fundraising event alongside Tam Cowan in Blackfriars, Glasgow, last week. The support highlights Morton’s urgent need as they work to stabilize operations.
