Rapid fans give blood in latest donation campaign to support Austrian Red Cross

More than 100 SK Rapid fans gathered at the Allianz Stadion to donate blood for the fifth straight year in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross, aiming to help address a national shortage. The club said blood is needed in Austria every 90 seconds, meaning nearly 1,000 blood units are required each day. Supporters attended the annual campaign, described by the club as giving “green blood,” and received a green-and-white goodie bag. Rapid players Kayleigh van Niehoff and Paul Gartler visited the event, meeting fans, taking photos and signing autographs. The campaign, highlighted as part of Rapid’s community involvement, runs alongside the club’s message “Wer zusammenhält, gewinnt!”
