Rare vintage Jaguar bought for £15 could fetch £55k at auction after 63 years

A rare 1939 Jaguar SS 1.5-litre Drophead Coupe, nicknamed Felix, goes to auction. Colchester resident Peter Pearson has owned it for 63 years after paying £15 in 1963. Auction house Reeman Dansie handles the sale. The car has featured in rallies and exhibitions, including a 1972 Jaguar display where Pearson met Sir William Lyons. Felix is one of only 18 known survivors and remains the only example owned by a single person for 63 years. Experts expect the car to fetch between £45,000 and £55,000. This sale offers a rare piece of Jaguar history.
