The force recorded 10 domestic abuse events between 9pm and 10pm on July 15, the hour England suffered a late 2-1 loss to Argentina. That figure was 186% higher than the average for the same hour on the previous four Wednesdays, and the highest single-hour total in the dataset dating back to May. July 16 also ran high, with 63 incidents and 16 arrests.
