Richie Mo'unga set for All Blacks return against Lions

Richie Mo’unga is set to make his first All Blacks appearance since the 2023 World Cup final when he plays against the Lions on Tuesday night. The fly-half moved to Japan after New Zealand’s 12-11 defeat to South Africa in the final, but a return to New Zealand has opened the door for his recall. After playing a club match for Canterbury, he was brought in by coach Dave Rennie after Billy Proctor’s tour ended with an injury against the Stormers. Rennie left Mo’unga out of last week’s first Test due to his late arrival and need to re-adjust. Patrick Tuipulotu will captain an overhaul that beat the Springboks 33-16 at Ellis Park.
