Seahawks G Grey Zabel: I hate the Rams, but love facing the best of the best

Seahawks left guard Grey Zabel said he “hates the Rams” but also enjoys facing them because it is “mano a mano” against top competition. Zabel described seeing the Los Angeles Rams often during his rookie season, including three matchups in the NFC West and an NFC Championship Game where Seattle won en route to its Super Bowl title. Speaking on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, he characterized that championship matchup as a “heavyweight boxing match.” He added that he finished the year with both a dislike and respect for the rival. Zabel cited Rams defensive tackle Kobie Turner as his “kryptonite” last season, and noted that the Seahawks’ divisional challenge may intensify after Los Angeles traded for Myles Garrett this offseason. He also suggested Aaron Donald could return if he comes out of retirement, further shaping the NFC West.
