The 'All That She Wants' Team Discusses What 90s Rom Coms Inspired Their New Movie - TIFF Studio
The “All That She Wants” team discussed which ’90s romantic comedies shaped their new film in a TIFF Studio session. Director Scarlett Bermingham and screenwriter Andrew Rhymer, with David West as screenwriter, presented the story of Emma (Murphy), a woman in her thirties who, after a painful breakup, goes out clubbing and meets Luke (Raiff), younger and charismatic—only to discover the next morning that he used to be her babysitter. The film follows Emma as she moves forward with a new career path and decides she wants children, regardless of her relationship status, while Luke reappears intermittently. The panel included Annie Murphy, Cooper Raiff, Bermingham and Rhymer, and the first screening is Sunday, September 13 at 9:30 PM at TIFF Lightbox.
