Travel + Leisure has named a Connecticut fall foliage road trip through the Litchfield Hills among its “14 Best Fall Road Trips for Seeing Foliage Around the U.S.” highlighting Falls Village in Canaan for its 1800s-era look, including churches, streets, houses, and the railroad depot. The magazine also notes the Appalachian Trail runs through town, one of five northwestern Connecticut stops on the route: Sherman, Kent, Sharon, Salisbury, and Falls Village. Other picks include the West Cornwall Covered Bridge—still in use since 1864—and Lake Waramaug State Park for cycling or sailing, plus White Flower Farm in Morris.
