Tonight: a very moreish drama about a hellish birthday party

ITV’s autumn thriller led by Luke Evans and Sarah Solemani keeps ratcheting up the damage after revelations about journalist Martin and Tory politician Ben’s friendship. The series’ latest build focuses on how a “messed-up history” is now catching up to the characters at the birthday party, with consequences unfolding for guests as the plot escalates. It concludes on Monday, marking the end of the season’s main dramatic thread. The evening also includes BBC One’s macabre comedy The Reluctant Vampire at 6:40pm, plus Simon Reeve’s Mongolia trip on BBC Two at 9pm. Later, Jools Holland remembers Tony Iommi and Amy Winehouse at 10pm. Sports coverage features Leeds vs Man United and other Premier League and WSL fixtures.
