Total Sales Jump 23.35% On Day 8 At Keeneland September Sale

Day 8 of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale produced another strong push, with total sales rising 23.35% to $30,215,000. The average price increased 14.63% to $101,374, while the median climbed 7.14% to $75,000. The top seller was a colt by Yaupon that fetched $850,000, sold to Donato Lanni as agent for Frank Fletcher and Jackpot Farm. Keeneland moved 297 yearlings through the ring on Tuesday. For the 2025 meet to date, 1,732 yearlings have sold for $493,195,500, up 4.44% from last year’s comparable period. Several notable purchases followed, including a $500,000 filly.
