Tri-state bidding produces average lift at Bundara Downs' marathon ram sale

Tri-state bidding helped Bundara Downs’ 30th annual production sale deliver strong results and lift averages across three terminal sire breeds at Western Flat. Steve and Ros, Greg and Selena Funke sold 346 rams, with 293 White Suffolks, Poll Dorsets and Suffolks reaching a $1496 average, up from 2025’s $1265 average on 273 of 347. The top category was White Suffolks, averaging $1524 with 201 of 237 sold, while Poll Dorsets averaged $1417 (86 of 89). Suffolks marked the end of the stud’s run, though only six of 20 lots averaged $1667.
